Conveniently situated among all the major university institutions in Guildford and just a short distance from the charming town, Guilden Village offers a prime location. You’ll find private study rooms onsite, allowing you to concentrate on your university work without distractions. If you prefer a collaborative approach, our co-work study area provides an ideal space for group studying.

 

When you need a break, we have an array of exciting amenities to enjoy. Visit the secret society rooms, arcade and games room, or our mahjong room for some fun-filled moments. There’s even an onsite gym available, so you can grab your gym towel and engage in a workout session. Releasing endorphins and relieving stress will boost your mood and productivity levels.

How safe is Guilden Village?

To ensure your total safety, we have security and staff on-site 24/7, as well as CCTV and a fob entry system. Our site is private and gated off meaning the public cannot just walk into our site, we ask all guests to always sign in and be with the resident. Our on-site maintenance team is always available to address any questions or concerns, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free stay. Guilden Village is the true essence of luxury student living.

How often are amenities cleaned?

All shared communal areas and amenities are cleaned every day to maintain a clean and pleasant environment for all residents. Every two weeks your communal kitchen will be cleaned but in between those deep cleans it is down to the residents to keep it as clean as possible.

How fast is the internet connection?

We provide a 1Gbps broadband connection with a wired connection. While Wi-Fi speeds may vary, an estimated speed of 250Mbps is typically maintained, depending on the time of day and the number of users on the network. This is all included within the bills and rent, meaning no extra cost.

Where can you buy Groceries near Guilden Village?

Luckily for our students everything is within walking distance, for groceries our closest shop is LIDLS, it is a 15-minute walk being 0.9 miles away and your cheapest, it occupies an ideal place in Ladymead Retail Park. Most of our students use this shop as it’s close and cheap.

 

There are other options near Town such as Waitrose, being a 13-minute walk with a premium variety of choice, and of course Tesco’s closest to the Uni of Surrey and Manor Park. If you would rather get groceries delivered to site that is also an option with multiple delivery services meaning it is easy and stress free.

Where can you go shopping near Guilden Village?

Built on a hill leading with stunning views, Guildford has plenty of shops to keep you busy. Whether you want to explore the high street or The Friary, you’ll find a whole bunch of popular stores such as Zara, Hollister or even Primark. There is even a Tunsgate quarter with premium shops for those who love Mac cosmetics or if you are wanting the perfect white towels for your ensuite from the White Company.

Where can you eat out near Guilden Village?

Foodies are in luck, because the town is filled with great places to eat, from chic cafés to high-end restaurants, it’s down to you and your preferences. Head to La Casita, a delicious tapas restaurant on the cobbled streets, famous for its culinary delights. Or, if you like Indian cuisine, RAVIZ is another highly rated restaurant, serving up moreish Indian food guaranteed to please your palate!

What can you do around Guildford?

Guilden Village, Stoke Park is located just a short distance from Guildford Train Station, offering plenty of opportunities for travel. You can explore London for a day trip or venture further afield. If you prefer staying closer to home, Guildford Spectrum leisure complex provides various activities, including a swimming pool, bowling, and an ice-skating rink.

 

For outdoor enthusiasts, Wildwood Adventure Is within a 4-minute walk from your luxury accommodation. There is also Guildford Boules Club next to us or venture to the beautiful Guildford Castle, a short walk from Guildford Town Centre, offers a chance to learn about the town’s history and provides a 360 panoramic view of Guildford and the stunning surrounding countryside.

Where can you have a night out near Guilden Village?

As we are aware, students love a night out with their mates so go explore what Guildford has to offer with our latest night clubs and bars that have opened recently. Labyrinth being the newest with 4 rooms, 3 DJs and 3 floors to explore and sing along to your favourite songs.

There are also lots of bars such as Y Bar, Five and Lime, The Fallen Angel, Alley Bar or even the Long Bar. Guildford has lots of snazzy pubs which also provide amazing food, so if you’re craving a burger and a pint or want to watch the football, then check out one of those.

Guilden Village, Stoke Park is also just 5-10 minutes shuttle ride or a 25-minute walk away from Guildford Railway Train station, making it easy for you to get into London for a day trip or night out.

Transport from Guilden Village to Guildford University

We offer a shuttle bus service that will take you from Guilden Village to your university campus. Alternatively, most university campuses are within a short 15-25 minute walk.

Transport from Guilden Village to Woking

For our Italia Conti students we are now offering something new and exciting! Italia Conti have showcased their new building in Woking meaning our students will have to travel a bit further than most. But we are thrilled to announce that we have partnered up with Stagecoach and you will receive a free bus pass which will be covered for the full year, this means you won’t have to pay for your travel costs to get to Uni. We want to provide this added extra feature to our wonderful students.
